This article uses the OpenSearch Specification that is
implemented inside Google Chrome
Today I want to show you the use of Google Chrome search engines on drupalsearch.org site.
when you visit drupalsearch.org site in Chrome, Chrome automatically adds this provider to your browser search providers
this magic happens because this site implements OSDD - OpenSearch description document

if you want to take it to the next level, you can assign keyword to search engine, i have assigned the "DS" keyword to it
so now i can type the "DS" in the url line and than press TAB , Chrome show me the search provider i have selected and let me enter the search phrase, so just type the thing you want to look for
and find the results
Have fun
